Georgia Port Authority (GPA) has ordered 25 RTG yard crane spreaders from Bromma, to be delivered in the summer. The Stockholm-based spreader manufacturer said the major order followed a deal last year to supply the US port with four STS45 spreaders.

The relationship between the two goes back several years, with more than 100 Bromma crane spreaders in service at, or on order for, the GPA’s Savannah terminal, including separating STS twin spreaders, standard yard crane twin spreaders and single-lift units.

Bromma VP Vikram Raman said: "Though the global recession has slowed the pace of equipment orders, leading terminals continue to invest. "They want equipment that will lift operational reliability and efficiency. "We are delighted that Georgia Port Authority continues to partner with Bromma."
