Realtime Business Solutions (RBS) has launched a software package called Terminal View, to be released to the container handling industry as freeware.

"Terminal View is a management statistical, analysis and data mining tool that has been specifically written for marine container terminals," said RBS. "It is intended to address the many requests from RBS customers that want an application that will give them a breakdown of their terminal’s operation, and allow them to monitor its performance at any time and from any location. "It also allows further analysis of performance issues, with ’if not, then how’ suggestions."

Terminal View provides a variety of views of a terminal’s performance, each of which displays as a column or line chart of the selected data. Colour-coded columns allow quick analysis of the data. Each of the columns can be "drilled-down" to produce pie charts of data grouped by container attributes, such as container length or category. From the pie chart, a detailed list of each individual move, or container details can be displayed and printed.

RBS said Terminal View was developed using the latest technology, allowing it to run on Windows, Apple or Linux operating systems using any browser.
